Homebreds
This page is devoted to the horses we have bred over a nearly 20 year period. As of 2023, we are no longer breeding but are committed to each and every one of them, keenly interested in how they are doing and what they are doing. We are very fortunate that nearly all of our sold horses over the years are accounted for and their very happy owners keep up with us. It's a nice way to develop an extended family!
Look who is growing up. Laureen Megan's de Mars (DeNiro/Fuerst Heinrich/Rohdiamant) at her home in Milltown, VA. She looks more and more like her mother, Electra. So happy to see her so beautiful and thriving. Fall 2015.
Laureen Megan's, de Mars had a big day at the OLD/GOV inspection hosted by Oak Hill Ranch. She was Premium Foal as well as Foal of Distinction. These are the highest achievements a foal can earn. It was a very proud day for both Busch Sporthorses and Laureen. A slide show can be found here: big event.
Summer 2015.

Follow the link below to enjoy Beckhams photos at his first breed show where he was champion of all of his classes, as well as high point of the entire show! May 2015: Beckham
Well look who is all grown up! Rooney (Rousseau/Alabaster/Pik Bube) is under saddle here for the first time with our dear friend, FEI trainer and competitor, Dawn Jensen of Columbia, SC. Dawn and Vicky have been exchanging notes as Vicky rides Rooney's half sister, Fashionista. The girls share many pleasant similarities! Rooney is proudly owned by Marilyn Gilligan of Chapin, SC. July 2015.
This filly was our toy from the time she was born and during the short time she stayed with us before going to her new home. Purchased by the Hattaway's of Waxaw, SC at 2 weeks old, Ally (Florestan/Alabaster/Pik Bube) amused us with her willingness to wear or do just about anything. Sunhats, sunglasses, sashes, you name it, she wore it. Here we dressed her up for the 4th of July which she happily complied with. Ally, whose registered name is now Folle Blanche, will have a bright future with the Hattaway's as they show her in Hunters and then ultimately breed her, taking advantage of the "F" line abilities for jumping. We look forward to hearing about this cutie pie in the future. July 2014.
Fashionista (Florestan/Alabaster/Pik Bube) She is full sister to Ally and half sister to Rooney. February 2015.
Reese (Rubignon/Ariadus/Rembrandt) is another filly bought from us before she was born. She now resides in Columbia, SC with her trainer, our longtime friend, FEI rider Dawn Jensen. We look forward to seeing what she does with Reese! Spring 2016.
